Summer Solstice, also known as Mid-Summer or Litha, the longest day of the year is here! Summer is finally here!
Open the windows, open the door, go outside and breathe! The gorgeous trees, clear blue sky, rivers, lakes, flowers, fruits, vegetables--are all trying to give themselves to you.
Dear, Sensitive and Patient Children of the Earth,
Is there anything more delicate than Spring blossoms? After the snows, floods, freezes and lockdowns of these past months, the sweetness of Spring seems nearly miraculous. In the Midwest, where I am, gentle days feel like a gift.
Dear, Patient and Enduring Children of the Earth,
Winter Solstice is here! The longest night of the year has arrived. For as long as humans have existed, Winter Solstice has been a time to gather with loved ones, celebrate the warmth of our connections and share what we have. We all need human touch. We all need to share.
Dear, Calm and Innocent Children of the Earth,
The Autumnal Equinox, when Night and Day are of equal length, is upon us. Fall is here. No matter what else is going on, the Great Wheel of the Year is still turning.
In the Northern Hemisphere, the Harvest is being brought in, Fall leaves and pumpkins are showing up, houses are being prepared for Winter and we human's can feel the change in the angle of the Sun's light.

Summer Solstice is here! The Pagan holiday of Litha is being celebrated! It's the magical "Mid-Summer's Night" when the days are long, slow and full of an abundance of Sun. Nights are warm and full of breezes and Moonlight. This is a time for all of us to remember the Earth, our Bodies, and the joy of stretching out.
