Mabon is here! The Wheel of the Year has turned and we are greeting the first day of Fall in the Northern Hemisphere.
The Autumn Equinox is the time when day and night are of equal length. As we go forward toward the Winter Solstice over the next three months, nights will lengthen into the "dark time" of the year.
Dear, Enduring and Compassionate Children of the Earth,
Winter Solstice is here! We are at the point, in the Northern Hemisphere, when the Great Wheel of the Year experiences the longest night. It's the quiet time, the time to go inward, to reflect and renew.
Dear, Compassionate and Enduring Children of the Earth,
The Autumnal Equinox is here! The Great Wheel of the Year is turning. We have reached the point when Day and Night are of equal length. Days wil begin to shorten and Nights lengthen as we turn towards the Winter Solstice in December.
Dear, Beloved and Cherished Children of the Earth,
Litha is here! Midsummer is here! It's the time when the Earth pours forth her bounty and the Sun pours out its life-giving light. Gardens ripen and mammals with old bones find it a little easier to move around.

Dear, Resilient and Expansive Children of the Earth,
The Vernal Equinox is here. The First Day of Spring is here! From this date till the Summer Solstice in June, the Sun is gaining in strength and the days are getting longer.
Dear, Intrepid and Delightful Children of the Earth,
The Winter Solstice is here! The longest night and shortest day are upon us as I write from the Northern Hemisphere! The Sun is getting stronger. After today, Daylight will lengthen as we move toward Spring.
Dear, Beautiful and Cherished Children of the Earth,
Summer is coming to an end. The Autumnal Equinox, Mabon, when Day and Night are of equal length, is here. We can feel the "turning of the Wheel" in the changing of the light. Night falls a little earlier each day.

The Vernal Equinox, Ostara is here! The first day of Spring in the Northern Hemisphere is rising up with tender shoots, the sap is rising, what was frozen is thawing. The Earth itself is coming back to life.

The Winter Solstice is here! The longest night of the year is upon us.
This ancient observance of mystery and magic was known by many Pagans as Yule and is one of the oldest celebrations in the world.
